I’ve been following for a while now and am always surprised at the accuracy of your writing as it applies to me. It’s comforting to know this is a universal experience. Ive been shedding patterns, people, jobs…there does not appear to be a “sensible” option just a drive. But it feels contingent with my soul so am doing my best to trust the process. No sensible option, just drive. That's the soul leading before the spreadsheet approves. The shedding you're doing doesn't look logical because it isn't. It's somatic. Your body already quit those patterns, people, jobs. The rest is just paperwork. Grateful you're here, and grateful it makes you laugh. That's half the medicine. 💎
This piece hits so hard, especially the idea that desire isnt upgrading at the decision level but at the code level. I've noticed something similiar when my body just stopped responding to old goals even tho my brain kept trying to logic me back into them. What's interesting tho is how the interoceptive awareness you describe still needs some translation interface, like our minds cant fully opt out of the conversation even when the body's already voted. The friction of that lag time between somatic knowing and cognitive acceptance is where most of the exhaustion lives imo.
"The body's already voted and the brain keeps requesting a recount." That's the whole exhaustion right there.
The lag you're naming is the translation tax. Soma knows instantly. Mind needs paperwork and precedent before it'll sign off on what the gut decided in a millisecond.
And you're right, the mind can't opt out. Nor should it. We live in a world that demands language. The body speaks in voltage. The mouth needs verbs.
The exhaustion isn't the knowing. It's the constant lobbying to get your own brain to believe what your own body already proved.
Every time the mind catches up, the lag shortens. Not disappears. Shortens. That's the training.
