STOP LYING TO YOURSELF ABOUT BALANCE: A Body Detox Guide for the Autumn Equinox & Beyond
Because Your Nervous System Can't Fix What Your Boundaries Won't Protect
Listen up, gorgeous disaster who definitely has a meditation app you haven’t opened in three months and a crystal collection that’s judging your life choices from the windowsill like a panel of disappointed gemstone elders.
We need to talk about the biggest spiritual pyramid scheme of our time: balance.
You know exactly what I’m talking about. That Instagram-perfect, palo santo-wielding, “I take adaptogenic mushroom shots and my aura matches my workout outfit” kind of balance that makes you feel like a cosmic failure because your spiritual practice consists of whispering “universe, please help” while stress-eating cookies and wondering if your houseplants are secretly disappointed in you (they are, but that’s beside the point).
Here’s the tea that’s about to burn your third eye right off your forehead: Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, has been lying to you about balance. Your meditation teacher lied. Your life coach lied. That influencer with 47 morning rituals and a skincare routine that costs more than your rent? She DEFINITELY lied, probably while filming in front of a rented backdrop.
Plot twist: You’ve also been lying to yourself. And honey, it’s time for an intervention.

I walked in authentic beauty like the night, despite it being afternoon ✨️ ☺️ I circled my deck table where my outdoor altar sits...I AM here, being not performing, shedding extraneous rituals that have worn out their welcome, and no longer judging myself for not having quit cigarettes yet...so mote it be 💫🐈⬛♍️🚭⛓️💥🔮🎩🪄
Wonderful message Dea ✨️ I guess this is my deadwood to release: "I release words that were never mine." My eyes teared all up when I read it, who would have known. I came across the term "cognitive dissonance" last week which ties into your writing. 💕
