Mom, Are We Becoming AI?
The Question That Made Me Write the Story I'm Now Giving Every Parent
"Mom, are we humans becoming AI?" my eight-year-old asked me that morning while I was making breakfast, and in that moment, I needed all my focus not to drop the knife I was using to prep food.
Holy shit, what a question! A question that all adults responsible for this world should collectively be asking right now, and here it is, coming from an elementary school kid, out of nowhere. Actually, I don't know if it was really out of nowhere, a week before that question, she witnessed something disturbing: me, getting my hand fried by my phone. Not literally, like it exploded, but frequency-wise.
I know, I know, it already sounds like conspiracy theory bullshit, but it's not, bear with me: like all adults, fuck it, I too spend most of my time working on my phone. Whether I'm writing on the go, translating texts into English for foreign blog posts, recording something and converting it, or communicating with clients and creating materials for them. Basically, I'm on my phone. Doesn't matter that I don't scroll or use social media, but I walk around with the device in my hand. Not all the time, of course, because I have a life, but mostly when I'm working.
That day, it was hellishly hot outside, no shade on the beach. I, the diligent stubborn mule, was working while the kids I was taking swimming played in the water park. At one point, I realized I had to get in the sea for a bit, or the heat would kill me. So I went in, just for a moment, just to cool down. And the moment I put my hands in the water, the salt and temperature did their thing, and I experienced a shock, like an electric shock in the sea. I could barely stagger out.
I started analyzing: was it my nervous system, blood pressure, this or that? You who know me, you know I'm brutally analytical, meaning there's no factor I skipped, I even asked the Tarot and everything. Everything was fine, I'm healthy, well-rested, nothing physical. Maybe some trauma, like something got activated that I didn't even know about… more analysis, but again everything was fine.
I stumbled home because the pain in my hand was cutting through my arm and felt like an electric shock. Like someone was randomly stabbing my hand with a flaming knife and it was going to my brain. I told my household. The man immediately understood the problem and said wait, let me measure electromagnetic radiation.
He walked around the house measuring all our phones, tablets, and laptops. They were generally between 180 and 200. But when he got to my phone, my beloved adored phone that I'd always praised as the best workhorse in history, the phone went crazy and started jumping... up to 1000. Yeah. That's death.
"Promise me, promise me you'll get rid of that phone," the man shouted in shock.
To cut it short, with a heavy heart I got rid of the phone, barely found some old one manufactured before 2019 that doesn't have 5G, and recovered in three days. Meanwhile, we talked about all this at home, because I had fucked up, I had ignored it all as "if I'm breathing, I have crystals and orgonites, no big deal, what now, we're in the age of radiation."
The child was listening to this, and probably connected the dots. In parallel, the tablet used for cartoons broke, so at one point the phone was also the TV for cartoons: while putting her to sleep, I noticed that as the child was drifting off, while brain waves were supposed to be theta and the body should be relaxing, I noticed her hand cramping and squeezing me and she couldn't let go. Trauma? No, but radiation being discharged.
And when a week later came that question "Mom, are we becoming AI?", I scrapped my entire business schedule because it was a clear sign from the Field: write a story because it's important for people, for children. That's how this came about.
Please keep in mind how much I love technology. I'm the type who checks the chipset in phones, the type, production, those kinds of details. A person who adores gadgets. Someone who's been fantasizing about teleportation since childhood (I saw it as a kid in Star Trek and immediately thought "ah, that's our technology, we have that"). I'm saying this so you don't think I'm some medieval hag saying there's evil in progress and technology. But then again, I'm saying there might be... because fuck it...
Anyway, now you know the background and everything you need.
Story is too big to put it here, so I embeded it for you on my ko-fi for free. Enjoy the story. It's my gift, and you can download it at this link. You can donate of course, but this is really my Aquarian gift to the world, and if you like it, share the story further, to parents, teachers, friends. It's fun to print it out and wrap it in a circle, like a scroll, for consistency. But you don't have to, I sometimes read to my child from the phone too because fuck it, we can't go back to the Middle Ages without electricity and sanitary pads, but we can be careful and maintain balance.
I love you all so much and thank you.
Thanks for writing this. Have you heard of dirty electricity? This type of EMF runs through our walls and ground, and is even more pernicious than wireless. It can be measured using a Stetzerizer or even an AM radio.
Thank you for writing this. I believe this does need to be shared and there needs to be awareness. Thank you!!
